Today I want to share the latest list of my favorite Francophile things I have found around the web as of late. I am considering SEVERAL of them as early birthday presents to myself…

You all know I am an online shopping extraordinaire when it comes to finding awesome deals and promotions.  It may seem mysterious to some, but there’s not really any secret to it. I simply shop my favorite brands or let Instagram give me shopping suggestions as it seems to know my taste pretty well. Then I hunt for promo codes, wait for sales, etc. The key is to not pay full price EVER unless it is a high luxury brand that never goes on sale, or is something you need immediately. The other key is to make sure you really want said item, rather than just buying things because they are on sale (at least, I try).

Apolis + Clare V. Market Bag for francophiles

Possibly my favorite francophile thing to date!  I bought the “petite” version of this bag as an early birthday present to myself. I’ve been eyeing it for a few weeks now, and discovered they are nearly sold out!  So I panicked and ordered it before I could think too hard about it! I love the texture of this old fashioned looking market style bag, and can’t wait to use it as a casual purse.  It just so happens to be the perfect size for all my essentials (plus the requisite kid snacks) with a French flair.

Anything from Madame de la Maison

Do you follow her on Instagram? You should. I want literally everything on her website, which consists of antique finds across France for your home: barware, dishes, tea service, stunning table linens, and tons of inspiration for your maison. I am always trying to make my home feel like a Parisian apartment far from France (sigh).  I have several items from Madame’s curated finds on my list to add more subtle French charm throughout my home.

Le Creuset finds

Another early birthday purchase… I can’t help myself when there are sales too good to ignore, and Le Creuset had a Factory to Table sale this week!  They basically cut out the middle man (a store) and sold many of their products at sharp discounts. Proudly, I only purchased things I had been wanting for my kitchen, all in my favorite turquoise or sea foam green, and all three items were under $100! Rare for Le Creuset.

EDIT: The sale is now over, but you can find these SAME items on Amazon here and here and here!

Nordstrom anniversary sale finds for francophiles

French style is on sale! Or at least it will be next week when the sale goes live. My picks would be the Longchamp totes (any of them), l’Occitaine lotions, or mini dyptique candles:

French Girl Organics

I love using their nail and cuticle oil before bed each night, and just discovered it is included in this adorable “Le Marché Essentials Kit.” They have their own Apolis tote, so if the Clare V. totes above are sold out, get your hands on one of these! Comes with everything pictured below- a truly great gift for any francophile 🙂

Ballet flats from Anthropologie

There is nothing more French than a classic ballet flat, and Anthro has an adorable collection right now. I’m personally considering the leopard print version of the below pair, but really you can’t go wrong with any of them! Flats are a great Summer or transition to Fall shoe, can be worn with literally anything (a great addition to your capsule wardrobe, perhaps), and always look chic and sophisticated.

The New Parisienne, by Lindsey Tramuta

I have “The New Paris” already and read it thoroughly before planning my trip to Paris in March.  Now Lindsey Tramuta has a new book all about the women of Paris, and challenging the stereotype of the “French Girl.”

I listened to her on a podcast recently and found her inspiration behind the mission of this book very compelling.  Her desire to shine light on the diversity of Parisian women was very eye opening. While we all love the image that French girl style conjures in our minds, we should always remember that stereotypes leave out vast groups of individuals.  The synonymous style we love fits a broad range of individuals- lucky for us, since none of us fit any kind of mold. “The New Parisienne” is on my Amazon Shopping List and will be ordered soon.  Lindsey Tramuta is also featured in my post about my favorite podcasts for Francophiles.

And lastly, if you listen to podcasts about living well, thoughtfully, and luxuriously, I hope you listen to The Simple Sophisticate. This week is French week on her blog, and it is full of giveaways, shopping inspiration, and media we francophiles will love. Check it out at www.thesimplyluxuriouslife.com.

Well, that’s it, my budget can’t take much more, ha! Did you find anything worth purchasing? I love sharing my favorite francophile things with fellow France lovers. What unique finds have you found online lately? Here’s hoping something from Madame de la Maison arrives in time for my birthday (I say to my husband… hint hint).

À la prochaine-
